Increased awareness of safe practices and safe spaces to reduce the risk of bullying and develop a resource guide to increase culturally sensitive crime prevention practices among First Nation youth living in urban centres.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement date to January 15, 2023 and increase the Public Safety Canada funding amount from $309,122.80 to $359,126.80.
The program purpose is to provide support in the adaptation, development and implementation of innovative and promising culturally sensitive crime prevention practices which address known risk and protective factors to reduce offending among at-risk children and youth, and high risk offenders in communities; the dissemination of knowledge and the development of tools and resources for Aboriginal and northern populations; capacity building as a means to explore ways to develop or implement culturally sensitive crime prevention practices among Aboriginal and northern populations.
