Description:
St. Leonard’s Society of Canada (SLSC) will investigate promising practices, challenges, and recommendations by conducting surveys of and key informant interviews with Community Residential Facilities (CRFs) within the SLSC network including SLSC-affiliated CRFs and CRF stakeholder group and infection prevention control specialists.
SLSC will host virtual roundtables with community agencies (affiliated and non-affiliated CRF operators) and government partners (CSC, PBC, PS) for knowledge exchange. SLSC will implement (and assess efficacy of) innovative mechanisms for SLSC-affiliated CRF operators to enhance overall service delivery to clients

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes of this project include the following:
Immediate outcome: Increased knowledge regarding the prison health to public health spectrum and best practices among CRF operators.
Intermediate outcome: Informed government practices and policies related to the community corrections sector, particularly within the con
text of a wide-spread health crisis (e.g. pandemic).
Ultimate outcome: Improved reintegration outcomes for people who work and live at affiliated CRFs through innovation in service delivery.
