On January 24-25, 2017, a severe winter storm and freezing rain event delivered between extensive freezing rain and ice pellets to large parts of New Brunswick resulting in significant power outages throughout most of the province. The storm also caused extensive debris, fallen trees and branches with blocked roads and damaged property throughout the province.
