Major International Events Security Cost Framework

Program Purpose:

The G7 is a designated major international event and as such is eligible for financial assistance under the Major International Events Security Cost Framework. The purpose of the Major International Security Cost Framework is to reimburse local jurisdictions, in this case, the Government of Quebec, through a contribution agreement, any incremental, extraordinary, justifiable and reasonable policing and security-related costs incurred in support of the RCMP-led security operations for the G7.
