Grants and Contributions:

Officers trained and equipped to enforce new legislation;
Standardized data collection and reporting on the occurrences and enforcement actions related to drug-impaired driving in Canada; and
Reduced number of drug-impaired drivers, creating safer roads in Canada.

This first Amendment is to: capture the two different reimbursement mechanisms to flow funding to the RCMP for RCMP-related services and to Prince Edward Island for non-RCMP related services; update the Articles and Annexes of the Agreement to ensure the Agreement provides a more complete picture of the delineation of funding for RCMP and non-RCMP activities; expand the list of eligible activities associated with the project beyond the acquisition of Approved Drug Screening Equipment (ADSE), salaries of trainers and analysts, and associated travel and accommodation expenses to support training; remove the requirement associated with reallocations of greater than 20% within a current fiscal year; move Prince Edward Island to progress payments; remove the holdback provision and update contact information; update the project description and workplan; revise the project budget based on Prince Edward Island’s request to re-profile funds from the 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 fiscal years into subsequent years of the project; extend the end date of the project by two fiscal years to March 31, 2025; remove the requirement to provide funding estimates for RCMP expenses in advance of each fiscal year; provide greater flexibility in selecting ultimate recipients; and streamline and simplify the reporting requirements. Increase PS budget from $2,060,160.00 to $2,538,520.00
