Grants and Contributions:
Teams begin to implement the standard information management system for all day to day workings for volunteers for their teams. This includes entering all volunteers as users, posting all upcoming training, prevention and community events, entering equipment into the system for resources tracking, entering historical data regarding searches, training and call outs, entering volunteer specific information such as courses, awards, instructing users on how to access the system. Intermediate Outcomes: After using the system for a year and getting the volunteers used to it, the teams and OSARVA would be able to accurately track volunteer hours for training, searches, prevention presentations, community events and volunteer SAR tax credit hours. Members would be scanning out all equipment at searches and training events for accurate inventory management. Administrative burden of running a SAR team is eased and value of on line system is apparent. Discussion of sustainability begins. Long Term Outcomes: The data entered would accurately show trends across Ontario for member teams. At the team level, fund raising efforts could be focused and justified based on statistics. At the OSARVA level, consistency would benefit funding requests and reporting requirements at the provincial level for government and non-government agencies. All data is consistent with SAR KMS.
