Description:
Maskwacis Tribal Council (MCTC) will host a safety planning process with affiliated nations which will result in a safety plan that responds to on-going crime occurring in four communities. As part of the safety planning process MCTC will engage with the youth and other demographics within the communities and will mobilize affiliated communities in responding to on-going crime and victimization.

Expected Results:
The expected immediate to long-term outcomes of this project will include: the four communities affiliated with Maskwacis Cree Tribal Council will be engaged; Increased awareness on gang involvement & prevention; Increased awareness on crime and interventions to deter crime; a safety plan will be developed; the communities will be mobilized and able to respond to safety concerns; and increased collaboration amongst communities.
