Description:
The project builds on previous results and will roll out the next phase of their program into further Ontario and Nova Scotia high schools. The program will used GBA+ analysis to reflect the experiences of Indigenous and Black communities. The project aims to increase youth's understanding of online sexual exploitation, its roots and impacts and to destigmatize reporting. By expanding over the next 3 years, provinces with the highest statistics on different forms of online sexual exploitation will receive critical prevention. The recipient will continue to answer calls for help from children and youth in order to protect youth at risk; provide supports and interventions to youth survivors; and prevent it from happening in the future by promoting healthy masculinities.

Expected Results:
Increased dissemination of educational and awareness resources and number of prevention-focused resources to prevent online sexual exploitation; understanding by male-identifying groups on how to practice healthy masculinities and role modeling; understanding the impact of online sexual exploitation with vulnerable youth, educators and parents in Ontario and New Scotia; de-stigmatization of online sexual exploitation to encourage reporting; youth confidence to intervene with at risk peers to speak up and recognize the signs of online sexual exploitation; male identified youth can demonstrate the role that men and boys can play to actively prevent online sexual exploitation and how the promotion of healthy masculinities can prevent it.
