Grants and Contributions:
Cornwall will develop a multi-year gun and gang strategy to deliver prevention and intervention strategies for youth at risk of gun and gang involvement. The overall goal is to uncover the existing gaps, increase awareness, and determine needs to successfully combat gun and gang violence in the City of Cornwall.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement to June 30, 2023. There is no change to the Public Safety Canada funding amount.
The program purpose is to support Municipalities and Indigenous governments in their efforts to address gun and gang prevalence by providing a
determined funding allocation to put in place community led projects to combat gun and gang violence and address knowledge gaps concerning the impacts of interventions in gun and gang violence.
