Description:
The purpose of this contribution is to provide funding to counter mis and disinformation that promotes ideologically motivated violent extremism among Canadians with low trust in institutions and communities by engaging a targeted subset of the population through a digital intervention tool based on a national survey and initial research/literature review across Canada.

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes of the project are an improved understanding of distrust in institutions as a pathway to ideologically motivated violent extremism; an improved understanding of opinions and beliefs on issues relating to distrust of institutions; increased educations and awareness of ideologically motivated violent extremism information and offering corrective information; and cross-industry collaboration and knowledge sharing.
