Agreement Value:
$448,612.00
Agreement Date:
Jan 27, 2021 - Mar 31, 2024
Description:
The purpose of this project is to enhance the security and resilience of Canada's cyber infrastructure by establishing collaboratively with key stakeholders the Canadian TraceRoute Database (CTRD), a sustainable technical platform for ongoing monitoring of key routing aspects of Canada's internet infrastructure relate to cyber security.
Organization:
Public Safety Canada
Expected Results:

The expected objective is to develop a working prototype of the CTRD and its TraceRoute monitoring platform for on-going measurement of internet routing across Canada. This open-access national internet routing database will be available to a full range of cyber security stakeholders for their analysis purposes, as well as serving as a resource for more general public education about internet routing. The other objectives is to develop CTRD analytic capabilities for assessing cyberthreats, promoting awareness and formulating cyber resilience policies, demonstrate the viability of the CTRD for ongoing, sustainable operation, and to engage with relevant internet user communities and cybersecurity stakeholder groups to help guide CTRD development and then disseminate the results.
