The medium-term outcomes of the project aim to improve the ability of affected populations to recover from disasters more successfully, with the overall long-term goal of helping Canadians by continuing to deliver services to people in need.

Program Purpose:

Public Safety Canada's (COV19) Supporting the Canadian Red Cross’s Urgent Relief Efforts Related to COVID-19, Floods and Wildfires program enable the CRC to support Canadians’ needs stemming from COVID-19, floods and wildfires. Through the provision of funding to the CRC under this program, the CRC will have the resources to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on Canadians as well as that of floods and wildfires.
