Description:

In this pilot project, Brave YW, YWCA Moncton will focus its work in two areas: supports and services for young women and non-binary youth with heightened vulnerability for exploitation/trafficking regionally; and building sector capacity for provincial partners to better identify, intervene and support victims of exploitation/trafficking.

Expected Results:

This project aims to increase protective factors and access to support for youth at heightened risk of becoming victims of trafficking or exploitation. The result of the project will include an increased awareness of grooming and luring techniques in the broader community, enhance local and provincial efforts to eliminate trafficking/exploitation, as well as increase community capacity to identify and respond to potential youth victims of exploitation/trafficking. Participants will also have increased knowledge and understanding of how Human Rights applies to individual contexts enhances protective factors for youth.
