The Chippewas of Rama First Nation policing services are responsive to the needs and cultures of the Indigenous communities they serve.
There is a reduction of the gap between police-reported crime in the Chippewas of Rama First Nation and the rest of Canada.
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the agreement date to March 31, 2026, and increase the Public Safety Canada funding amount from $774,981.66 to $1,649,839.08.
To enhance the effectiveness of policing services in First Nation and Inuit communities in terms of cultural relevance and responsiveness to the public safety need of communities.
To support policing services to First Nation and Inuit communities that are professional, dedicated and culturally responsive to the communities they serve.
