Description:

Maskwacis Cree Tribal Council (MCTC) will develop and youth gun and gang strategy with stakeholders and implement it. The strategy will support increased community awareness through educational campaigns, developing training workshops and providing alternatives to ways to belong by offering cultural programming that connects to community. The project will look at sustainability and conduct evaluation activities throughout.

Identified municipalities and Indigenous communities have funding for prevention and intervention initiatives to address and respond to gun and gang violence.
Increase the knowledge of the nature, scope and challenges of the identified recipient to tackle gun and gang activities

Identified municipalities and Indigenous communities implement informed prevention and intervention initiatives to respond to gun and gang violence.
Develop community-based prevention and intervention strategies and initiatives to tackle gun and gang activities

Long-Term Outcomes:
Identified municipalities and Indigenous communities are equipped to address gun and gang violence through intervention and prevention initiatives.
To develop a plan to sustain successful prevention and intervention activities upon completion of the five-year program.
