Description:
The Corporation of the Town of Innisfil has submitted a multi-year plan to develop or expand new community programming that will reduce gun and gang violence in Innisfil/South Simcoe. Town of Innisfil will continue to identify services and programs serving those most at risk, build community capacity, identify gaps and ultimately develop targeted prevention and intervention initiatives to support development of a future strategy to address youth, gun and gang activity in Innisfil/South Simcoe.

Short-Term Outcomes:
• Identified municipalities and Indigenous communities have funding for prevention and intervention initiatives to address and respond to gun and gang violence. 
Some examples of short-term project outcomes include:
• Consultant is hired to develop evaluation framework

• Identified municipalities and Indigenous communities implement informed prevention and intervention initiatives to respond to gun and gang violence. 
Some examples of medium-term project outcomes include:
• Increase in Innisfil residents’ awareness about relevant risk factors for gun, gang, and youth violence

Long-Term Outcomes:  
• Identified municipalities and Indigenous communities are equipped to address gun and gang violence through intervention and prevention initiatives.
Some examples of long-term project outcomes include:
• develop a sustainability plan for a gun and gang strategy beyond March 31, 2026
