Grants and Contributions:
This initiative will increase public awareness and understanding of serious and organized crime, will strengthen intelligence collection and data quality, and will support informed policy development and decision‑making. It will enhance law enforcement effectiveness through improved approaches and practices, increased collaboration with partners and stakeholders, and greater engagement to combat organized crime and related activities, including in Indigenous communities. Ultimately, these efforts will contribute to safer communities and a safe, resilient Canada by strengthening the national capacity to address serious and organized crime.
The purpose of this amendment is to increase the Public Safety Canada funding amount from $5,557,900.00 to $6,657,900.00.
CPCSOC supports initiatives, research, partnership building, specialized police services, projects and programs to increase knowledge, raise awareness and/or help advance efforts to combat serious and organized crime, through funding allocations to eligible recipients
