Description:
The project is a community-based prevention and intervention strategy to tackle gun and gang activities occurring within the jurisdiction of Tsuut’ina Nation. This initiative includes identifying relevant research, best practices through community consultation to assist in the identification of the landscape of organized crime and existing gaps occurring within current programming.

Expected Results:

Short-term outcomes: Tsuut'ina Nation will have funding for prevention and intervention initiatives to address and respond to gun and gang violence. To be achieved through:
- The funding of Tsuut'ina Nations six implementation initiatives: Out Stories, Braiding Stories, Exploring Turtle Island, Smoke Signals, Troubled Waters and Reflection Waves.

Medium-term outcomes: Tsuut'ina Nation will implement informed prevention and intervention initiatives to respond to gun and gang violence. To be achieved through:
- Implementation of informed prevention/intervention initiatives to respond to gun and gang violence based on the initial, developmental stage of this Agreement.

Long-term outcomes: Tsuut'ina Nation will be equipped to address gun and gang violence through intervention and prevention initiatives. To be achieved through:
- Tsuut'ina Nation has and will continue develop and integrate a sustainability plan to ensure that the effective intervention and prevention initiatives will continue beyond the expiration of this agreement where possible.
