Agreement Number:
26926
Agreement Value:
$306,055.00
Agreement Date:
Jun 22, 2026 - Mar 31, 2027
Description:
This project builds on the Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) Feasibility Study by supporting final activities such as sharing study findings through engagement with PAGC member Nations. It also includes engagement to support consideration of Band Council Resolutions ahead of the PAGC Annual General Assembly, with the aim of advancing decisions on a First Nations Policing Service model.
Organization:
Public Safety Canada
Expected Results:

By completing final engagement activities, securing governance‑level endorsements, and presenting consolidated findings to Prince Albert Grand Council (PAGC) leadership, the project establishes a strong foundation for future decisions related to policing service delivery. While not implementing a policing model, this work positions PAGC and interested member Nations to determine next steps toward policing solutions that are community‑ responsive, culturally appropriate, and aligned with local needs across urban, rural, and remote contexts. Over time, this foundational work is expected to support improved planning, governance, and coordination in pursuit of enhanced community safety outcomes.
