Description:
The Naut’sa mawt Tribal Council (NmTC) will lead an Indigenous‑driven Community Safety Planning process for its 11 member Nations. Through a collaborative approach involving community leadership, Elders, youth, service providers, and regional partners, they will co‑develop one comprehensive safety plan rooted in Indigenous values and lived experience.

The project will support: 

• Indigenous communities with increased capacity to respond to community safety issues, including alternatives to incarceration and reintegration support.
• Indigenous communities with developed community safety plans.
• Community Safety Plans, components of Community Safety Plans, community safety and wellbeing projects, and knowledge building and sharing projects are implemented in Indigenous communities.

The project will support the implementation of community safety and wellbeing projects for NmTC's member nations.
