Grants and Contributions:
Improved safety and well-being of the occupants of First Nations and Inuit police facility by funding the identified repairs of the in the Temagami (Bear Island) community.
This amendment is to extend the project end date into next fiscal year (2020-2021) up until the end of Q2 (September) and add an eligible cost category to fiscal year 2020-2021. This amendment is to also add $187,300.00 to fiscal year 2020-2021 with PS contribution (52%) being $97,396.00. Lastly, this amendment is to also decrease funding in 2019-2020 by a total of $307,060.00 with PS value (52%) being $159,671.20.
The program purpose is to improve the safety and well-being of occupants of First Nations and Inuit police facilities by providing financial assistance to plan, repair, reconstruct and/or acquire new police facilities. This program is central to achieving the result whereby First Nation and Inuit communities are expected to have access to dedicated and responsive police services. Ensuring that communities have safe and healthy police facilities contributes to this result.
