Program Purpose:
The purpose of this project is to enhance motivation and promote and build awareness of search and rescue (SAR) prevention skills through a collaborative approach with youth and knowledgeable elders and other experts from the Sahtú region. It will do this by leveraging local knowledge to develop and deliver culturally appropriate search and rescue prevention and survival messaging and programs. The project will also develop objectives and a scope for future SAR prevention activities.
