The Ontario Women in Law Enforcement (OWLE) and the Niagara Regional Police Service will host the 59th International Association of Women Police (IAWP) Conference September 12th-16th, 2022 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. This is the first time in the history of IAWP that this global conference will be in Niagara Falls, and delegates are expected from across Canada and from 70+ countries.

As the RCMP approaches our 150th anniversary in 2023, supporting the IAWP 59th conference serves as a catalyst to advance the RCMP's strategic objective of being more inclusive. As stated in Vision 150 and Beyond: RCMP Strategic Plan, one of the four pillars is to create an inclusive culture where everyone is welcomed and valued. The IAWP conference can assist with that goal of putting “people first” and providing women in law enforcement with the right tools, training and support as the main themes of the conference are leadership, Equity Diversity & Inclusion, Wellness & Resilience, Technology, and Investigations.
