This 33-month project seeks to increase women’s participation and advancement in skilled trades and apprenticeships affected by recruitment, workplace policies, practices, and behaviours in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia. Main activities include partnership development, needs assessment which includes research on promising practices, the identification and development of a strategy, piloting and evaluating a ‘code of practice’ for employers, and dissemination of knowledge.
