Description:
The event features highlights from the Public Policy Forum’s report, "Public Service Innovation and Leadership During COVID-19," which captures groundbreaking work underway by the public service across Canada in supporting citizens, businesses, non-profit organizations, and First Nations, Indigenous and Métis communities throughout the pandemic. Case studies include work done by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Health Canada and Service Canada (e.g., the COVID-19 update email service).

Expected Results:
In the short-term, the project will provide access to an expanded knowledge base related to public sector or public service policy issues by contributing to knowledge mobilization of public service practices into an accessible format, suitable for a range of sectors and key stakeholders involved in advancing social innovation through engaged scholarship and capacity-building. In the long run, the project will contribute to knowledge related to emerging public sector or public service policy issues, including discussion of innovative practices that have emerged as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
