The objective of this research project is to estimate the greenhouse gas emission impact of hybrid work on buildings, personal homes, personal transportation use and commuting.

In the short term, this project will advance knowledge regarding the climate and greenhouse gas emission implications of the widespread societal shift to remote and hybrid work brought on by the pandemic through the publishing of research results. In the long run, the project will inform decisions about real property portfolio management and decarbonization in both the public and private sectors.
