Description:
This 12-month project will increase safety and supports for women living in Winnipeg. This will be achieved through a start-up initiative to secure an easily accessible and centrally located 24/7 Safe Space. The space will include Elder supports, cultural programming, basic needs support, access to washrooms, and a safe place to rest. Activities will include: securing a safe space; implementing resources and programming; finding ongoing alternative, long-term funding sources; and developing a sustainability plan.
