Description:

This 17-month project will strengthen the capacity and networks of Two-Spirited People of Manitoba Inc. to advance LGBTQ2 equality. This will be achieved by establishing an advisory committee, building managerial capacity, ensuring long-term financial sustainability, and engaging with the community. At the end of the project, the organization will have increased its capacity to establish formal and informal equality seeking networks and have the ability to share this expertise with other LGBTQ2 groups and individuals in Manitoba.

Program Purpose:

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
