Description:
This 17-month project will strengthen the capacity of G.R.I.S. Montréal to promote LGBTQ2 equality. The following activities will achieve the project's objectives: support human resource management capacity, conduct strategic planning, strengthen inter-organizational cooperation (especially by establishing official networks and sharing resources), make data and information more easily accessible (by producing various reports to evaluate the community's needs). By the end of the project, the organization will have increased its knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. In addition, partnerships and collaboration will have been established or strengthened to support the LGBTQ2 movement.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
