Description:
This 17-month project will strengthen the capacity and networks of Four Feathers Society to advance LGBTQ2 equality. This will be achieved by building board capacity; strengthening collaboration among organizations; improving financial sustainability; increasing access to evidence, data, information and knowledge sources; and amplifying sector capacity at large in order to better support 2-Spirit persons in BC. At the end of the project the organization will have increased its capacity to engage 2-Spirit persons via online platforms and inclusion gatherings; conducted an environmental scan and needs assessment surveys; created a diversified funding stream; and evaluated their own program and policies to inform a new strategic plan.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
