Description:
This 29-month project aims to strengthen TransEstrie's capacity to promote LGBTQ2 equality. Project objectives will be achieved by supporting human resource management capacity; undertaking strategic planning; ensuring long-term sustainability through improved financial health skills; and strengthening inter-agency collaboration, including the establishment of formal networking and resource sharing. Supplement (phase 2 of the project): A supplement, for phase 2, was granted for three activities, namely the structuring of a network of peer helpers, the updating and translation of the online information resources of the organization as well as the realization of the report of the project. By the end of the project, the organization will have increased knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. In addition, partnerships and collaborations will have been established or strengthened to support the LGBTQ2 movement.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
