Description:
This 31-month project will address organizational capacity needs of The Enchanté Network to support its incorporation and expansion from coast to coast; strengthen its governance, develop and implement a communication strategy; work on partnership development; organize its funding national general meeting; and provide micro-grants to support the capacity building of LGBTQ2 centres and establishment of other centres across the country.
The additional funding of $700,000 will allow for the continued expansion of the organization by further strengthening its communication practices; mobilizing and disseminating knowledge on its member’s capacity, as well as providing them with micro-granting and supports services; and fostering the networking and collaboration between LGBTQ2 service centres. The organization will also join forces with Fierté Canada Pride and 2 Spirits in Motion Foundation to development joint policies, procedures and capacity-building programming, thereby strengthening the infrastructure of LGBTQ2 organizations across the country.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
