Description:
This 36-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Women's Multicultural Resource and Counselling Centre of Durham (WMRCC) to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through the development of an organizational strategic plan, a mobile app, a sustainable fundraising strategy, as well as fostering partnerships and collaborations to develop a joint Partner Communication Plan to connect with local, national and global online networks. The additional funding will be used to cover the costs of emergency services and partnership development, as well as digitization to adapt to a new virtual environment caused by the pandemic.

The purpose of the Women’s Program is to advance equality for women in Canada by working to address or remove systemic barriers impeding women’s progress and advancement. The WP supports the Government of Canada’s goal of advancing gender equality in Canada. It is consistent with Government of Canada priorities related to economic prosperity, and supports Canada’s international commitments related to gender equality.
