Fostering Capacity in Sexual Assault Centres in the #METOO Era

This 47-month project will address organizational capacity needs to allow Ontario Coalition of Rape Crisis Centres (OCRCC) to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced through creating a long-term Strategic Plan; creating a current and implementable Advocacy Plan; increasing organizational financial health and stability through administrative support and in-house grant-writing capacity, informed by gender-based violence expertise; and increase structural stability to OCRCC’s anti-oppression, anti-racist and Gender-based Analysis work. This project will see a provincial reach to Ontario sexual assault centres. The additional funding will cover the implementation of Trans, Genderqueer, Non-binary, Two Spirit and Intersex inclusion in the services of sexual assault centres; and will help provide frontline staff with technological tools and support to deliver services in COVID-19 environment.
