Description:
This 24-month project will address organizational capacity to allow Hiatus House to continue promoting social and systemic change towards gender equality. Organizational capacity will be enhanced by strengthening internal Human Resources policies and procedures; updating the payroll management system to mitigate risk and improve recruitment and retention; as well as a website revision to ensure accessibility in both official languages through a user-friendly platform for the Windsor-Essex County community members and partners. Supplemental funding will be used to improve internal team’s ability to provide safe and flexible care for all women by bringing knowledge and tools to improve and evaluate outcomes and by partnering with the Indigenous community; to increase diversity of funding and implement collaborative initiative to increase sector sustainability.
