Description:
This 3-month project will develop a framework and a consultation toolkit to support effective and coordinated roundtable sessions to ensure input received during the community engagement contributes effectively to learning more about the specific GBV needs of diverse communities using an intersectional lens. These roundtables will result in recommendations for clear, concrete actions to address and prevent GBV in communities across Canada. YWCA Canada will distribute funding directly to approximately 60 organizations (up to $40K each). The core organizations would include be members of the Blueprint Coalition and the GBV Advisory Council. In addition to these core members, YWCA Canada will recommend and include other organizations to address identified gaps and ensure representation across the country. Finally, YWCA Canada will prepare and submit an overall report summarizing community engagement reports and recommended actions.
