Description:
As part of this 38-month project, the Centre francophone du Grand Toronto (CFGT) will develop and provide knowledge about human trafficking through its programs. It will do so by providing training on human trafficking to its employees and those of partner organizations as a means of enriching knowledge and improving support in order to foster empowerment by identifying survivors and at-risk persons among its clients and by promoting access to CFGT programs to at-risk populations and survivors of human trafficking.
This objective will be achieved by training CFGT employees and those of its partners on GBA+ and anti-trafficking initiatives, equipping them to identify survivors and potential victims of human trafficking in their programs, and providing services to support victims and survivors of human trafficking.
At the end of the project, the organization will have developed greater partnerships with regional service providers in Central-Southwestern Ontario, while implementing promising practices to prevent and take action against human trafficking.
The project will include an external evaluation of the success and evolution of the promising practices.
