This will be achieved by 1) performing outreach and leading support for victims/survivors of human trafficking through the Saving Our Sisters (SOS) Alliance and Northern Ontario Human Trafficking Intervention Initiative, as well as providing intervention training; and 2) developing and implementing a Healing Program, including one-on-one counselling and/or cultural advising, and group support. At the end of the project, the organization will have 1) established the SOS Alliance and Human Trafficking Intervention Initiative in Northern Ontario to improve leadership for better outcomes for victims/survivors; 2) identified and implemented potential actions/initiatives to address gaps for underserved populations; and 3) enhanced collaboration to include Indigenous agencies and human trafficking survivors to address the need for safe, collaborative, and protective intervention strategies and empowerment supports in Northern Ontario. The project will include an external evaluation that will look at the success and scalability of the promising practices.
