Description:
This 18-month project will strengthen the capacity and networks of Comité Francoqueer de l’Ouest to advance 2SLGBTQIA+ equality. This will be achieved through a comprehensive, major and in-depth review of governance, internal policies, and the creation of a communications plan and a strategic plan. In addition, the organization will develop skills through training, recruitment and mobilization of volunteers by making evidence, data and information more accessible through a survey and various legal and health awareness tools to promote 2SLGBTQIA+ equality through an intersectional approach accounting for race, age and official language.
At the end of the project, the organization will have increased knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to sexual and gender diversity, and established and/or strengthened partnerships and collaborations to support the Francophone 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
