Description:

This 24-month project allows Women’s Network PEI to address impacts of Covid-19 in rural areas through the development of a framework for rural women’s centres in Prince Edward Island. Specifically, this project will conduct a needs assessment, further develop partnerships with key stakeholders and advance initiatives and one-on-one support for women-identifying Islanders. At the end of the project, the organization will have expanded its presence and programming to two underserved rural areas in eastern and western PEI. It will also be able to better support women in these areas and will have developed a model for opening rural women’s centres in PEI.
