$45,000.00
Agreement Date:
Mar 20, 2018 - Mar 19, 2022
Description:
This 48-month project will identify and address key policies that create systemic barriers for young women aging out of foster care in five provinces and territories. These barriers include gaps in child welfare permanency planning, education, employment, housing, health care and the justice system. The ACC will use the supplemental funding to engage a statistician and economist for the analysis and preparation of a forecast for their data, as well as cost out their program and policy solutions from young women and non binary youth aging out of the child welfare system, which will increase the overall impact of the project. This will allow the ACC to more broadly disseminate accurate findings and strategies to a wide variety of stakeholders through their national symposium platform to be held in October 2021.
