Description:
This 26-month project will support a feminist response and recovery from the current impacts of COVID-19, through systemic change. The Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) will achieve this by addressing persistent harmful gender norms and attitudes through targeted 1) social media content, 2) webinars and workshops, and 3) analysis of pre and post project evaluation data.
At the end of the project, the organization will have contributed to addressing systemic barriers by addressing persistent harmful gender norms and attitudes and encouraging more equitable and effective sharing of resources to support women’s equality.
NAN will work with the NAN Women’s Council, Elders, and communities to develop and deliver programming based on identified community needs and values around gender-based violence, family healing, and women's leadership.
