Description:

The Department and the Government of Yukon Women's Directorate joint funding initiative is in response to the immediate food security needs for women and children in Whitehorse. Specifically, this program will provide a safe environment with hot meals four days per week for women and children along with a network of safety and supports for those who attend. The project will result in a safe space for women and children to access food, learning, and resources on where to find assistance and support when needed. The Yukon Aboriginal Women’s Council will be a strategic partner that will coordinate and administer the program.
