Description:
This 22-month project will serve as a continuation of the previous WAGE-funded project entitled ‘The Courage to Act: National Framework to Address and Prevent Gender Based Violence on Post-Secondary Campuses,’ and will continue to address and prevent gender-based violence at post-secondary institutions across Canada.
In collaboration with over 100 partners across Canada, Courage to Act (C2A) will develop and pilot tools, create resources, and share strategies to harmonize approaches to addressing and preventing gender-based violence (GBV) at post-secondary institutions (PSIs).
Through this second phase, Possibility Seeds will build upon the Courage to Act Report and Action Plan, which identifies key next steps, including creating evidence-based tools; engaging the Courage to Act network (i.e. community colleges, universities,
Canadian Union of Public Employees, and sexual assault service associations) through bi-monthly skill share meetings and expanding the knowledge centre; and piloting, evaluating, and refining tools, policies, and procedures developed.
