Description:
This 29-month project will strengthen the capacity of FrancoQueer to advance LGBTQ2 equality. This will be achieved by developing continuous learning tools for governance and human resources ; creating a strategic plan and communication tools; creating a funding diversification strategy; and sharing best practices in order to strengthen the sector. The project’s phase 2 supplemental funds and 12-month extension will enable FrancoQueer to collect to collect conclusive data and increase knowledge surrounding the challenges and barriers faced by Francophone LGBTQ2+ communities; to strengthen advocacy and strategic partnerships; to enhance organizational health and performance; and to strengthen FrancoQueer's governance structure and its board’s effectiveness in a sustainable way.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
