Description:

This 12-month project is a phase 2 of the project “Safety Labs”. It aims to strengthen the capacity of Kind Space to advance 2SLGBTQ equality. This will be achieved by developing a broader vision and advancing 2SLGBTQ equality with an intersectional approach. At the end of the project, the organization will have strengthened its policies, procedures, and capacity to support anti-colonial practices, through the creation of a Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer advisory committee, training in anti-colonial governance to the board of directors, staff and volunteers, and revised policies and procedures.

Program Purpose:

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
