Description:
This 29-month project will strengthen the capacity and networks of PEERS Alliance to advance LGBTQ2 equality. This will be achieved by developing skills and knowledge of the organization and the sector partners, and by developing a Strategic Plan, a Communication Plan and a Funds Diversification Plan. An extension and supplement, Phase 2 of the project, have been allocated to the organization to develop and implement human resources policies, procedures, tools, and training, to increase evidence and knowledge of challenges and barriers for the trans community, and to develop an advocacy plan in collaboration with sector partners and stakeholders. At the end of the project, the organization will have increased knowledge and capacity to advance equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and strengthen partnerships and collaborations to support the LGBTQ2 movement

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
