Description:
Through this 30-month project, People of the Dawn Indigenous Friendship Centre will increase its ability to prevent or address gender-based violence (GBV) against women, girls, or 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. This will be achieved by conducting an organizational and community-based needs assessment, by leading research on capacity-building learning opportunities and emerging support trends, by sustaining collaboration with community partners, and by completing an internal evaluation to identify improvements and best practices for continued self-assessment and growth. Partners involved are well-known to the organization and have contributed to the promotion of services through networks, partnered in project delivery, and acted in an advisory capacity. This project will also help create a shared foundation for all levels of the organization for GBA Plus to inform future practices and policies.
