Description:
This 35-month project will get a better understand and respond to employment barriers Canadian Muslim women face through quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis and development of strategies and tools to address the barriers through engagement of community partners, employers, and Canadian Muslim women themselves.
This will be achieved by conducting a quantitative and qualitative research based the 2021 census data. CCMW will also develop strategies and tools for employers and for Muslim Women that will then be developed as toolkits. Also, the toolkits will be launched at a national employment conference for employers, community partners and Canadian Muslim women and will offer practical workshops on the strategies and toolkits.
At the end of the project, they will create a report based on quantitative and qualitative analysis which will include policy recommendations to improve the employment situation of Muslim women.
