Description:
Through this 14-month project, FrancoQueer will develop community-informed solutions to key barriers and gaps facing francophone LGBTQ2 communities in Ontario. This will be achieved by: 1) developing a Franco-Ontarian network with an intersectional, cross-sectoral approach to LGBTQIA2+ inclusion and engaging partners and the community in the project; 2) identifying priority issues for the Francophone LGBTQIA2+ community in Ontario; 3) developing training content and tools to support partners' organizational change and; 4) delivering the trainings and tools to support partners' organizational change and evaluating their impact. By the end of the project, FrancoQueer will have supported a community-informed project to address key issues facing francophone 2SLGBTQ+ communities in Ontario and advance equality for 2SLGBTQ+ people.

The purpose of ESSOGIE program is to advance social, political and economic equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

Advancement towards a greater understanding of the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors that include race, national and ethnic origin, Indigenous origin or identity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic condition, place of residence and disability are encouraged under the Program.
